Harrison Clark launches new employment team

LAW firm Harrison Clark has strengthened its service offering with the introduction of new employment and human resources team.

The firm, which has offices in the Three Counties, as well as Birmingham and London, said the new 13-strong team would one of the largest specialist employment and HR operations in the Midlands.

The team, which is being headed by employment law barrister Jennifer Jones, will focus on a range of sectors including public and private health and social care, education, local government, manufacturing, logistics, construction and retail.

The new department also expands Harrison Clark’s growing Business Services Department, which is focussing on a national platform.

Ms Jones joined the firm in August with the specific aim of heading the new team. She has been an employment law barrister for more than 20 years and has advised large organisations at board level on workforce and reward strategy, as well as organisational change projects. She also has experience acting for employers in connection with complex cases such as discrimination, whistle-blowing and equal pay cases.

She said: “We are straight-talking and approachable and look to provide solutions, not just identify risks. Acting only for the employer we aim to make complex people management issues as easy as possible to navigate so that employers can get on with the job of running their businesses.”

The team acts for several large businesses plus public authorities and the NHS.
