Recruitment drive at Anthony Collins

BIRMINGHAM law firm Anthony Collins Solicitors has recently signed up 10 new members of staff. Shivaji Shiva joins the firm as senior associate with experience in the charities, healthcare and sustainable transports sectors. Newly qualified solicitors Emma Fuller, Cynyr Rhys, Sophie Fenn and David Taylor also join the firm having successfully completed their trainee contracts at Anthony Collins.
Four new trainees have also joined the firm for their two-year contract – Helen Monro, Davinder Samra, Steven Graham and Emilie Pownall. Making up the team of new recruits is Jo Barry, who joins the firm as senior marketing executive. Senior partner Romaine Thompson said: “Despite the challenging economic conditions affecting many organisations, we continue to grow our firm and our client base. We’re extremely pleased to welcome Shivaji to the firm. His strong background in the charities sector will help us further build on our skills and experience, adding yet more weight to the quality and breadth of support we can offer our clients.”

Matrimonial team expands

BLACK Country law firm George Green has appointed a newly qualified solicitor to its matrimonial team. Jane Williams will specialise in divorce and ancillary relief. Before joining Cradley Heath-based George Green as a trainee solicitor in 2009, she worked as a vet for five years but decided to pursue a new career path.

Client services chief

MIDLANDS law firm Shakespeares has appointed a new client services director to lead the firm’s client services and commercial activities. Hamish Munro is returning to the region and will be taking up the role early next year. An experienced marketer and business development specialist, he is currently chief executive of the Guildhall Chambers in Bristol.
