Venture Finance takes ABN-Amro name

ASSET-based lender Venture Finance has re-branded as ABN Amro Commercial Finance.

The firm, which has an office in Birmingham’s Colmore Row, has been part of the ABN Amro Group for 22 years.

Regional director Cliff Meek said: “Alongside our existing asset-based lending products, the strengthened link with the ABN Amro Group means that a range of additional services will become available to our clients including banking services such as cash management, BACS, inter-bank payments and leasing facilities.

“Our name change reflects a coming together of Venture’s reputation for excellent service and ABN Amro’s commitment to professionalism, ambition and reliability. Our independence from the high street banks also means we can maintain the flexibility of approach for which we are known.

As part of the ABN Amro Commercial Finance Group we shall continue to serve the growth and operational needs of clients ranging from start-ups through to £250+ m turnover businesses. Our rebrand also increases our European reach and cross border financing opportunities through the commercial finance group’s operations in the Netherlands, France and Germany.”

ABN Amro is a 300 year old Dutch banking group, serving more than six million customers. The group has total assets of €329bn and was recently awarded an A+ credit rating by Standard & Poor, being the only European bank to receive an upgraded credit rating in 2011.
