Logistics group DBC Foodservice enters administration

A NATIONWIDE logistics group with a large depot in the Black Country has entered administration.

DBC Foodservice, which operates from 12 sites around the UK including Rotherham and Warrington, has appointed Baker Tilly to handle its affairs.

The group, which has a base in Darlaston, distributes daily to the UK’s largest, national public and private sector accounts and counts food and drink firms such as Cadbury, Premier Foods, Walls, Heinz and Britvic among its customers.

The company is understood to have been struggling for some time and was put up for sale last week after its credit insurers withdrew cover.
