Gateley given a sporting chance

BIRMINGHAM law firm Gateley has been appointed to the Legal Panel Framework – a new initiative established by Sport England and other leading sporting bodies.
The Legal Panel Framework aims to make it easier for national governing bodies (NGBs) and wider sport and recreational organisations to identify and gain access to legal firms at fair rates – delivering better value for money to the sector.
The panel will provide services across 19 areas of law, including child protection, governance, athlete selection, EU sports policy and major events.
Gateley was chosen based on criteria such as price, value-added services, its understanding and experience of working with sport and recreation organisations and its commitment to training and development.
John Burns, commercial partner at Gateley, said: “It is a fantastic opportunity for Gateley to be involved with a truly diverse and far reaching organisation.
“We have been appointed to the panel following a competitive tender which started with 76 law firms submitting applications and are one of just ten firms selected.”
