London commuters targeted by Solihull BID

SOLIHULL is taking its visitor destination message to London this Friday as part of the publicity campaign for the town’s forthcoming jazz and blues festival.
Midlands-based Dixieland jazz ensemble the Jazz Ramblers will be playing on Solihull Railway Station platform, from around 8.15am and will then head off to London on the Chiltern Line (playing for travellers en-route).They will then perform at London Marylebone station to promote Solihull to travellers there.
In London, while the band play, as well as giving out information about the jazz and blues festival the Solihull BID team (who are organising the festival) will be handing out ‘Discover Solihull’ packs to potential visitors.
A spokesman said: “As well as being lots of fun and a great way to get people interested in the jazz and blues event, it’s an example of the bolder, more innovative approach Solihull Business Improvement District is taking to marketing the town as a visitor destination.”
The festival itself opens with a launch party at Jubilee Gardens, Solihull from 4pm on Friday June 1.
