Future to set out its priority list for new city council

PROFESSIONAL services organisation Birmingham Future is to set out what it sees as the priorities for business for the new city council leader Sir Albert Bore.
Birmingham Forward members – and members of its youth arm Birmingham Future – are being asked to take part in a survey that will help to inform the discussion with Sir Albert at a patrons dinner on May 30.
Members are being asked for their views on what the council’s key priorities should be to ensure the city maximises its economic opportunities. They are also being asked for comments on how specifically the sector can support Sir Albert’s vision to make Birmingham the “UK’s enterprise capital” and how the council can successfully engage with the city’s business community.
Birmingham Forward’s chair Gary Cardin said: “We are delighted that Sir Albert will be joining us at our patrons dinner on May 30 and that we are able to engage with him so quickly after he has taken up the position of leader.
“Birmingham Forward continues to play a major role influencing how our city develops and therefore the dialogue we have with Sir Albert and others within Birmingham City Council is very important.”
