Tasty contract win for TR Fleet

COVENTRY-based TR Fleet has secured a major contract worth in excess of £3m to provide a range of fleet and vehicle related services to food travel firm SSP.

The company, which operates a variety of food outlets, predominantly at airports and train stations throughout the UK, has appointed TR Fleet to provide long-term strategic fleet services and implement a number of cost saving initiatives for its range of company vehicles.

In addition, TR Fleet, run by founder and managing director Julie Boyd, will provide fleet management support through its online ‘Fleetfile’ system and review company car schemes for its 1,400 employees.

Boyd, who set up the company in Berkswell in 2010, said: “We will offer SSP a range of services that are bespoke to their individual requirements and which will deliver financial savings and significant employment benefits.”

Andrea Laing, UK head of HR SSC, IT and 4M office for SSP, said: “We were impressed with TR Fleet’s proactive approach and in particular its understanding of car salary sacrifice schemes that could prove very attractive to our staff.

“We will also have the opportunity to improve our road risk management strategy through TR Fleet’s comprehensive Drive Secure programme.”

SSP’s head office is in London but it also has an operation based at Birmingham Great Park in Rednal.
