Barclays facilitates DCS’s growth plans

STRATFORD-based manufacturer and distributor of beauty products DCS Europe has extended its banking facilities with Barclays.

The bank has agreed to extend the firm’s facility by by £5m. the money will support the continued expansion of the group.

DCS is the official UK distributor for the likes of Procter & Gamble, Unilever and Colgate while its own brand Enliven, which consists of a range of 75 products, is produced in its new factory.

It also manufactures a number of own-label products on behalf of retailers such as Superdrug, Next and Wilkinson.

CEO Denys Shortt said: “We moved our banking facilities to Barclays back in October last year when they put in place a £19m funding package to support our ambitious growth plans.

“We are continuing to grow the business further following investment in our facility in Stratford last year and we will continue to develop all areas of the business to create jobs and growth.”
