Synectics wins £3m installation contract

WARWICKSHIRE security group Synectics – formerly Quadnetics – has won a £3m contract with an unnamed blue-chip client to install its Complex Security System.
Synectics, a leader in the design, integration and control of advanced surveillance technology, networked security systems and strategic security solutions, has been awarded the contract via its subsidiary Quadrant Security Group (QSG).
The project is for a new high security complex in the UK which includes design and installation of an integrated security system for CCTV, access control, intruder, perimeter/fence detection and interfaces to turnstiles, barriers and X-ray machines.
The whole system will be controlled and monitored by a Synectics control and command front end and is due for completion in late 2013.
Synectics CEO John Shepherd said: “We are delighted to announce this major contract award which highlights the continuing success of our strategy of creating complex surveillance systems, increasingly differentiated to serve the needs of the specialist customer sectors we target – critical infrastructure, transport and hazardous areas.
“It will allow QSG to demonstrate its abilities to the full and place it in a league with few competitors able to deliver such solutions.”
