Reed brought in by IM to oversee European investments

IM Properties has appointed former Knight Frank man Simon Reed to oversee its multi-million pound pan-European investment portfolio.

As director for European investments, Reed will lead a team responsible for asset managing and maximising the value of the company’s sizeable commercial assets in France and Germany.

He will also work with IM Properties’ senior management team to identify and exploit the growing real estate- related opportunities across its existing network of contacts in Europe, North America and China, together with providing additional strategic support to its UK activities.

Previously Reed was a partner at property agency Knight Frank in Birmingham, where he advised on a wide range of UK and European projects including advising IM Properties on a €26m deal with BMW to extend and create a 800,000 sq ft warehouse near Munich, the largest non-production unit in the company’s global portfolio.

Prior to Knight Frank, Simon worked has worked at JLL, CBRE and Savills as well as running his own niche investment consultancy advising a number of Midlands-based property investors such as IM Properties and Gallagher UK.
