Acua backs British Chambers awards

ACUA, the corporate training subsidiary of Coventry University, is sponsoring one of the categories at the British Chambers of Commerce’s (BCC) Chamber Awards 2012.

The awards, which are in their ninth year, are designed to recognise and promote the best businesses in Britain through a series of regional heats followed by the national final to be held in London on November 29.

Acua, which develops, delivers and accredits work-based leadership and talent management programmes across the UK, is sponsoring the ‘Commitment to People Development’ award.

Jeannine Mortlock, managing director at Acua, is among a panel of judges selecting this year’s winner of the category, who will follow in the footsteps of the current holder, Ledbury-based cider marker H Weston & Sons.

She said: “At Acua we work with organisations across a wide range of sectors to develop employee skills, enable performance, support talent and drive business growth, so we are delighted to be demonstrating our commitment to people development with our involvement in these prestigious awards.

“The awards attract hundreds of exceptional entries and I’m looking forward to reviewing this year’s submissions and helping to pick out a deserved winner.”
