“Together with the rest of my team, I am excited about what the future holds, not just for Millennium Point but for Eastside as a whole.”

Mercian Travel brings in new BDM

HAGLEY travel specialist Mercian Travel Centre has appointed Emma Carruthers as its new business development manager to facilitate its on-going growth.

The expansion comes on the back of Mercian’s sale to Yorkshire family business Good Travel Management in February 2011.

In the 12 months following the sale the West Midlands company reported its best trading year to date, growing corporate travel revenues 36% to £1.5m.

Carruthers started her career in retail travel and moved on to hold positions in sales and development in the recruitment sector.
