Mobile Fun targets 21% sales increase on festive boom

ONLINE retailer Mobile Fun is gearing up for its busiest ever month as the festive boom in internet shopping gets into full swing.

The Birmingham company, which has appointed corporate finance firm Altium Capital to advise on a possible sale of the business, said December 2011 had proved to be the first month in the company’s history to achieve sales over £1m.

The online retailer’s forecasted sales for the current quarter indicate sales in excess of £1m each month, with an actual increase on 2011 sales of 41% in October, and predicted increases of 21% for both November and December.

The company, which sells mobile phone accessories, has expanded significantly during the last 12 months setting up a network of international websites.

Mobile Fun’s Managing Director, Mohammed Hussain said: “Our continued launch of international websites has helped us achieve an increased turnover. Our teams across Europe are performing extremely well and we expect them to keep up their good work this festive period, ensuring each of our customers receives their festive purchases on time, no matter where they are.”

Sales of accessories for the iPad Mini have contributed to the growing turnover figures.
