KPMG Birmingham chief bullish over city’s prospects

THE head of KPMG in Birmingham has delivered a bullish message about the health of the city and the opportunities regional devolution will bring.

Mike Steventon, also a senior partner at the firm, used its annual Christmas event to say: “There is a great buzz being built around the city and we felt it right to further showcase what a great city and region we are operating within.  What is truly striking is the diversity of successful businesses within our region.
 
“Our Christmas event this year was about celebrating that while also looking forward to the transformational projects that will shape our region and the opportunities and challenges increased City and regional empowerment can bring.  One thing is for sure, the appetite and talent is here.  We now need to make it happen.”

The event was attended by senior business figures from across the region representing a range of sectors including fashion, manufacturing, architecture, development and business support.

The event was held at the firm’s offices at One Snowhill.
