Recruiter Staffline expands Birmingham operation with GB Resourcing deal

RECRUITMENT group Staffline has strengthened its presence in Birmingham with a new acquisition.

The undisclosed deal sees Staffline, which has operations across the West Midlands, take on the trade and assets of GB Resourcing (UK) Ltd, a temporary recruitment provider which has its base in offices in Bromsgrove Street in the city’s Southside area.

GB Resourcing, founded by Gill Barton, was established in 1999 and offers recruitment services throughout the Midlands.

Staffline said the acquisition fitted well with its Onsite business adding two new food Onsites and a branch in Birmingham.

Today’s announcement is in line with Staffline’s existing business strategy of targeting selective bolt-on acquisitions operating in relevant fields to both expand its customer base and broaden its revenue mix.  

The group said the acquisition would be earnings neutral in the first full year of ownership and is being funded from its existing bank facility.
