Cleaning companies merge for growth

A WORCESTER commercial cleaning company has doubled its size with the acquisition of a long-standing partner.

All Clean has taken on the daily office and commercial cleaning interests of Birmingham-based Pristine Cleaning Direct, creating one the largest independent cleaning providers in the Midlands.

The undisclosed deal sees All Clean strengthen its cleaning offer across a range of industries including construction and manufacturing and will service clients such as Rolls-Royce, Lend Lease and Carillion.

The expanded company will continue to operate from its Worcester base with head count rising to 115.

One of the first projects carried out as a result of the acquisition was a post-construction clean at the New Waverley School in Bordesley Green on behalf of Lend Lease. All Clean utilised its specialist after-build team to clean 600,000 sq ft of classrooms, halls and sports facilities deploying scrubber driers and extending boom cherry pickers in time for its April opening.

Commenting on the acquisition, Mark Weston, managing director at All Clean said: “All Clean and Pristine Cleaning Direct have had a very productive partnership for over five years so the acquisition was a natural move for us.

“The deal not only consolidates our position as a leading provider of office and industrial cleaning, but also significantly enhances our skill range. We now have a comprehensive cleaning capability from confined spaces to high level access.”

Doug Pullen, managing director, Pristine Cleaning Direct said: “We are delighted with the deal with All Clean. Pristine Cleaning Direct has been nurtured and developed throughout a recession and now consistently wins repeat business with many national major contractors as well as medium sized firms.

“Having known All Clean for a number of years we have every confidence that our clients will continue to receive a great service, enhanced by greater geographical coverage and access to even more specialist cleaning services.”
