World Trade Group agrees three-year summit deal with ICC

The three-year deal is set to boost Birmingham’s business economy by around £1.8m over the three years.

WTG and ICC have worked together since 2009 on the HR Directors Summit, which attracts professionals involved in HR solutions or business management. The event sees more than 600 key operatives debate the future of HR and its role in steering corporate strategy.

Jo Evans, Head of Global Operations at WTG said: “On behalf of WTG I am delighted to confirm our next three HR Business Summits at the ICC in Birmingham.  Our summits combine streamed sessions with in-depth presentations providing delegates with extensive learning opportunities across the myriad of topics that face both HR and leadership professionals in today’s world.

“Delegates have the ability to pre-schedule one-to-one meetings with HR solution providers and consultant experts to maximise the return on their time and effectiveness. The wider networking opportunities are supported by an extensive exhibition where delegates can spend quality time interacting leading edge providers in their areas of interest.”

WTG, which has offices in London and Toronto, supplies live event environments, online products and specialist training courses in the HR, Energy, Food and Beverage, Manufacturing and Supply Chain and Pharma sectors.

Jane Ralphs, Senior Account Manager for the ICCJane Ralphs, left, Senior Account Manager for the ICC, who worked closely with WTG to extend the partnership said: “This is a significant win for the ICC, and one which will be profitable for the whole region. Birmingham continues to be a popular destination for conferences and events, through its continuously improving transport links and dynamic city offering.

“It is a real credit to the hard work and commitment of team ICC, who work tirelessly to deliver the client’s brief.  We are looking forward to welcoming back WTG over the forthcoming years.”
