New board member is no hassle for Coventry & Warwickshire LEP

THE Coventry and Warwickshire Local Enterprise Partnership has appointed a new private-sector director to its board.

Nick Abell is senior partner at law firm Wright Hassall and has been made a director of the LEP having previously worked with the organisation through its business groups.

Sir Peter Rigby, LEP chairman, said: “We are delighted to welcome Nick to the board and believe his passion to develop business in Coventry and Warwickshire will only strengthen the LEP.

“Nick is well-known in Coventry and Warwickshire’s business community and as a result is extremely well-connected, which will serve to further develop our links with commerce in the area.

“We are looking forward to working with Nick in helping Coventry and Warwickshire to fulfil its potential for growth.”

Abell joins the board having led Leamington Spa-based Wright Hassall through a period of sustained growth.

He said: “I am looking forward to doing everything I can to help the LEP in growing the economy in Coventry and Warwickshire.

“With the expertise and experience already in place on the CW LEP board there is a great opportunity here for us to really make the most of opportunities to improve business in the region.”
