ipostparcels.com launches international delivery service for SMEs and consumers

IPOSTPARCELS, part of Birmingham-based parcels and logistics company UK Mail, has launched a new international parcel delivery service.

Extending its UK next day collection and delivery service, internet based ipostparcels is now delivering to more than 160 worldwide destinations by road and air.

The new service comes after a review of the marketplace and the rise of International online retailing.

The online retailing industry has continued to boom over recent times and now e-tailers are growing their businesses by incorporating international shipping.

Some 30% of all online cross-border trade in Europe comes from the UK according to the EMOTA, the European Multi-channel and Online Trade Association. In addition, a majority of small online retailers are expanding internationally on marketplaces such as ebay and Amazon making it even easier for online retailers to sell globally.

With the new international delivery service, customers book online using the booking form which automatically generates any customs invoices that may be needed. Parcels are collected from the customer and moved within the UK Mail network.

Guy Buswell, CEO of UK Mail: said: “With the launch of international delivery we’re able to give more choices to consumers and small businesses to send business parcels or gifts at incredibly low prices to anywhere in the world from the comfort of their homes.”

UK Mail launched ipostparcels in 2011 to serve the consumer, eBay and SME market.

The service doesn’t require customers to have a minimum shipping volume and can be used as an ad hoc service with all collections and deliveries going through parent company UK Mail’s network.

The firm recently reported it is now handling some 10,000 items per week with this service.
