Askin leaves Wragges to become head of real estate at DWF

HIGH profile lawyer Toby Askin has joined law firm DWF from Wragge & Co as the head of real estate for the Birmingham office.
He brings more than 15 years’ experience to DWF, having worked on the development, investment and funding of real estate projects, including household names such as Birmingham’s Bullring on behalf of Hammerson.
Joining the firm as a partner, Askin will also act as the head of real estate for the London office and as head of investment and funds on a national, firm-wide level.
Caroline Coates, executive partner at DWF’s Birmingham office, said: “Toby has worked on many prestigious real estate projects – from the development of shopping centres and retail parks to acting for private equity funds on investment projects. His varied expertise and hands-on approach makes him a key addition to our team in Birmingham.”
Askin added: “DWF’s real estate team has an excellent reputation. It is well resourced and working together we can deliver an enhanced and wide ranging service for clients.”
DWF acquired rival law firm Cobbetts in February and has recently moved into new Birmingham offices at One Snowhill.
