Chamberlin announces new chief executive

WALSALL-based foundry group Chamberlin has announced the appointment of Kevin Nolan as its new chief executive.

Nolan, former managing director of global materials engineering group Wall Colmonoy, will take the reins at Chamberlin on September 9.

The new man replaces Tim Hair who at been at the helm for seven years. Chamberlin announced back in May that Hair was to step down as chief executive and company secretary and from the board of directors.

He will remain available for a period to assist with an orderly transition.

Nolan has 30 years’ senior level experience in the engineering sector. Prior to Wall Colmonoy, he worked for Burton-in-Trent and Shrewsbury-based precision component firm Doncasters Group for 13 years.

At Doncasters he successfully led the expansion of a number of the group’s business units.

Chamberlin has also announced that David Roberts has taken up his role at the company as group finance director.

Chairman Keith Butler-Wheelhouse said: “I am very pleased to welcome Kevin Nolan as Chamberlin’s new chief executive. He brings significant expertise and a proven track record within the engineering sector and I am confident that he will lead the group onto further success.

“On behalf of the board, I would also like to take this opportunity to thank Tim Hair for his substantial contribution as chief executive over the past seven years and wish him the best in his future endeavours.”
