Contract win and management shake-up at Mar City

SOLIHULL property firm Mar City has signed a £14m contract with sister company Mar City Developments for a mixed use scheme in North London.

And the firm has also announced a shake-up of its senior management team which includes the departure of finance director Mark Grady.

The contract is for the construction of 102 units (principally apartments) and a retail unit of approximately 12,000 sq ft. It is expected to be completed by the end of first quarter of 2015.

Finance director Grady has agreed to step down with immediate effect. He will be replaced by Marcus Jones who has more than ten years’ experience in the construction and support services sector.

He is a former director of Carillion Capital Projects and Lovell Partnerships.

In addition, Maggie Ryan, a non-executive director of the company, has been appointed to the plc board in the executive role of operations director and as managing director of Mar City Homes.
