New Shropshire company sets up to produce environmental studies

A NEW company has been set up in Shropshire to help businesses get to grips with increasingly more complex environmental legislation.

Envirep is a subsidiary of ESI Ltd, which is a leading independent scientific environmental consultancy specialising in water, land and sustainable development. Envirep is intended to support its services by producing interpretative environmental desk study reports.

Lisa Davies, a senior consultant at the firm, said: “Envirep has been launched by ESI following an increased demand from local authorities, land and property owners, and commercial businesses such as banks and mortgage companies, for interpretative environmental reports covering requirements during the planning process.”

The firm will be utilising practical experience from both the environmental and hydrological segments to produce the reports.

The bespoke risk reports cover topics such as contaminated land, flood risk and drainage, and ground stability.

All the reports meet the requirements of the National Planning Policy Framework and follow the Environment Agency’s Model Procedures for the Management of Land Contamination.
