Asha’s set to serve up new growth after quintet of accolades

BIRMINGHAM restaurant Asha’s is charting fresh growth after ending 2013 on a high. The award-winning Indian restaurant and cocktail bar in Newhall Street secured five accolades in the space of just three months.

In just three months it has been highlighted by its peers five times.

The chronicle of success began with a first Certificate of Excellence award from TripAdvisor. The business was then shortlisted in the British Curry Awards and listed in the latest Michelin Guide – the fifth successive year the restaurant has been included in the culinary bible.

Next came a listing in the Sunday Times Top 130 Restaurants in the UK at under £50 per head, followed by a listing in the Toptable Diners’ Choice 2013 Best Restaurants in the UK – Asha’s is the only Indian restaurant in Birmingham listed in the Top 100 out of 4,000 restaurants assessed.

“Asha’s has had an amazing time in being recognised at the highest levels for the quality of its food, ambience and brilliant staff,” said director Pawan Kenth.

“The Toptable Award is the culmination of a hugely successful period.  We are thrilled that so many people love what we are doing.”

Since opening in Birmingham, the business has expanded globally and now has outlets in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Kuwait, Qatar, Bahrain, Egypt and elsewhere in the UK.
