Senior hire for CBRE in Birmingham
PROPERTY consultancy CBRE has brought in Christopher Hipkiss as senior director and head of property and asset management for the Midlands.
Hipkiss joins from GVA, where he specialised in providing landlord and tenant portfolio management and the asset management of offices, mixed use schemes and industrial warehousing for national and international corporate clients, private property companies and pension funds.
He had clients from the US, Europe and South East Asia and also worked with developers to establish complex mixed-use schemes, including advising on future developments, setting up service charges and establishing long-term asset strategy.
At CBRE he will lead a team of 11 working for clients including Aberdeen, Carlyle, Threadneedle, Nurton, MEPC and Merseyside Pension Fund.

Hipkiss, who has spent more than 13 years at GVA, joins CBRE in May.
He is the second high profile recruit announced by CBRE in recent weeks and follows the arrival of Gary Cardin, formerly head of real estate and the planning and development team at Deloitte Real Estate.
