Firms urged to participate in latest Black Country Chamber QES

THE Black Country Chamber of Commerce has urged its members to participate in its latest Quarterly Economic Survey.

The survey is used to establish a picture of what the economy was like in the first quarter and what issues businesses in the area have confronted.

The chamber said the study was an opportunity for Black Country businesses to influence national policy as the results are used by The Bank of England’s Monetary Policy Committee, HM Treasury, The European Commission and The Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD).

Details of the survey can be found on the chamber’s website and firms have until March 19 to respond. The results will be published nationally on April 8, 2014.

The survey is open to all members of the chamber and the findings, together with those from the other Chambers of Commerce across the country, are compiled by the British Chambers of Commerce to form one of the largest independent economic surveys of businesses in the UK.
