History repeats itself as Savery Hydraulics wins JLR ring main contract

MANUFACTURER Savery Hydarulics has signed a deal with automotive giant Jaguar Land Rover to supply a hydraulic ring main system at JLR’s Gaydon plant.
The Coventry firm beat off international competition to be awarded with the contract to design and manufacture a brand new ring main system.
No monetary value has been put on the contract.
The new system will provide JLR with core hydraulic power for operations of standard test rigs up to full vehicle road simulations.
In an interesting twist, it was Savery Hydraulics which designed and manufactured Jaguar Land Rover’s previous ring main system 30 years ago.
The new system is being designed to JLR’s exact specifications.
Bob Peacock, managing director of Savery Hydraulics said: “It is excellent news that we are able to continue our long standing relationship with Jaguar Land Rover, a world leader in the premium automotive market and we are delighted that they found our solution the best functional fit for the job.”
Savery Hydraulics is a leader in the design and manufacture of hydraulic solutions, covering an entire range from small self-contained power units to large, highly complex bespoke systems.
It also supplies custom power packs and bespoke manifold assemblies and is a UK distributor for the Hydraforce range of valves and electro-hydraulic components and Delta motion control units.
The hydraulic ring main system being supplied to JLR is currently being integrated into the entire building project against a tight timescale.
