Redditch accountants relocates after six-figure funding deal

A WORCESTERSHIRE chartered accountants has relocated to larger premises to ensure growth following the agreement of a new finance package.
Redditch-based Charles Lovell & Co provides accountancy and business support to a wide range of businesses and individuals across Worcestershire, Warwickshire and the West Midlands but it had outgrown the offices it had operated from for the past 30 years.
The business approached Lloyds Bank Commercial Banking, which agreed the six-figure package enabling the firm to purchase and redevelop its new premises.
The 3,200 sq ft building is situated in Church Green East, just across the road from the firm’s original offices. It comes complete with car parking with disabled access.
Following its move to the new site, the business plans to expand its client base and take on new staff.
Funding was granted using the Funding for Lending scheme (FLS). As part of this scheme, Lloyds Bank offers discounts of 1% to all SMEs in all sectors for the life of their loan.
Hadleigh Burns, partner at Charles Lovell Accountants, said: “In order to accommodate our plans to expand the business and our client base, it was vital to relocate to a new, much larger premises.
“Our business has grown significantly over recent years and we had simply grown out of our existing office space. We needed to move to more suitable premises, whilst remaining close to our original roots in Redditch.
“The purchase of the new office in the same high street location will enable us to continue serving our existing clients, whilst giving us the capacity to take on new business too, and we are grateful for the bank’s support.”
Mark Corfield, relationship manager at Lloyds Bank Commercial Banking, said: “Charles Lovell Accountants has built up a fantastic reputation in the local area over the years, and is known for providing a professional and friendly service for its extensive client base across the region.
“The office was already based in a great location, but moving to a new larger site nearby means that the business now has the space to work towards its growth ambitions and create new employment opportunities, which is great news for the local economy.”
