Top manufacturers up for awards as Business Masters shortlists revealed

HEAVYWEIGHT manufacturers Hadley Group and Brose UK are amongst the companies to have been shortlisted in TheBusinessDesk.com’s West Midlands Business Masters Awards 2014.

Smethwick cold rolled steel manufacturer Hadley Group is shortlisted in the Exporter (Large) and Manufacturer (Large) categories while Coventry automotive sector manufacturer Brose UK is up for Manufacturer (Large) and Fast Growth Business awards.

Altogether 27 different companies will fight it out in 11 awards. The full category shortlists are below with nominated companies listed in alphabetical order.

The shortlists were chosen by an eminent panel of judges during a three hour judging session held at law firm DWF’s central Birmingham headquarters on Thursday.

The judges were

Grant Adams, managing director, Sertec
Steve Brittan, managing director, BSA Machine Tools
Richard Halstead, regional director, EEF

The shortlisted firms will go forward to our gala awards dinner at Edgbaston Stadium in Birmingham on June 18 when the winners will be announced – but only after all the shortlisted businesses are interviewed.

In addition to the 11 awards listed above, a 12th award – Ambassador of the Year – will be presented to a person who has worked tirelessly to promote the region. 

We will be looking at the shortlisted companies in more detail as we focus on individual award categories in the days and weeks ahead.
