Cadbury World invests £2m into new zone

BIRMINGHAM attraction Cadbury World has invested £2m into the creation of a new 4D zone.

Featuring a 4D interactive cinema experience, the zone takes visitors on an adventurous journey allowing them the opportunity to experience the feeling of diving into a pot of melted Cadbury Dairy Milk chocolate, riding the Crunchie Rollercoaster and taking to the skies in a Cadbury Creme Egg airship piloted by the Caramel Bunny.

The new 4D Chocolate Adventure zone features a number of interactive digital games including a ‘Joy-O-Meter’ and ‘chocolate tracing’ game. Families are also able to have a go at creating their own futuristic bar of virtual 3D Cadbury chocolate featuring ingredients including glow in the dark chocolate and ever-morphing fondant.

Gerrard Baldwin, general manager at Bournville-based Cadbury World, said: “The attraction’s main aim has always been to bring the story of Cadbury and chocolate to life and this major investment will offer an exciting new experience to our visitors.”

Earlier this year Cadbury World, which attracts more than 600,000 annual visitors, also unveiled a newly revamped Chocolate Making zone, where visitors can choose from a range of treats to add to a pot of warm liquid Cadbury Dairy Milk chocolate, and enjoy traditional chocolate making demonstrations.
