Wolverhampton’s NCH Europe boosted by multi-million contract win

WOLVERHAMPTON-based water, energy and maintenance solutions specialist, NCH Europe, has boosted its business with the award of a new multi-million pound supply deal.

The company has secured a five year contract with ISS, the global facilities management provider, to become its primary provider of water treatment services in the UK.

Chem-Aqua, NCH Europe’s specialist water treatment division, will monitor and treat industrial water used in cooling systems by ISS customers to ensure the most efficient use of resources, minimise the damage caused to pipework by scaling and corrosion, and minimise the public safety risk associated with Legionella bacteria escaping into the environment.

Doug Blake, Managing Director for Key Accounts at ISS, said: “There is potential for untreated bacteria in large commercial cooling systems to damage pipework, block heat exchanges and create a significant public health risk. NCH’s proven water treatment expertise, the scale of its operations and ability to provide customers with a rapid return on investment by reducing water use and energy consumption made appointing it as our primary provider an obvious choice.”

Bernard Daymon, CEO at NCH Europe, added: “This is a significant step forward for NCH Europe. With hundreds of large customers across the UK, including many prestigious office blocks, factories and power stations, ISS will provide a substantial source of demand for our water treatment services over the coming years. Our appointment is testament to the expertise and innovation of our people and water treatment service range, which we have proven time and again with a growing and satisfied customer base.”

NCH’s custom water treatment programs are already used by almost 1,000 hospitality, industrial and infrastructure businesses across Europe to minimise water, energy and maintenance costs, and ensure safe and reliable operation of critical cooling systems.
