Black Country Chamber signs up Tata Steel to strategic networking group

THE Black Country Chamber of Commerce has reinforced its strategy to grow the organisation and the area’s economy by signing up another high profile business to its expanding Platinum Group.

Wednesfield-based Tata Steel Distribution is the latest recruit to the group, which is a network linking the Black Country’s strategically important businesses.

Margaret Corneby, chamber chief executive, said: “The Platinum Group is really moving forward and with the inclusion of local companies such as Tata Steel Distribution, can really work together to help us with our commitment to double the size of the Black Country economy within the next 10 years.”

Paul Steele, managing director of Tata Steel Distribution, said the business wanted to align itself with organisation’s promoting growth.

“The Black Country chamber brings together some of the area’s most notable companies through The Platinum Group and I am looking forward to Tata Steel Distribution being able to network, share and learn with such a peer group of businesses,” he said.
