One Stop’s franchise roll-out gains a cluster in Stoke

BROWNILLS-based retailer One Stop Franchise has gained another regional cluster, with five new franchisees opening up in the space of five weeks in the Stoke-on-Trent area.

All of the stores – which switched from other ‘symbol groups’ – have undergone a One Stop refit.

The new franchisees represent a diverse mix of independent retailers, with stores ranging from Anne and Mark Trinder’s 1,000 sq ft site in Eccleshall Road, Stone, up to Raj Sangha’s 2,700 sq ft store in Dividy Road, Stoke.

Stephen Green’s village store is based in the home of Wedgwood pottery, Barlaston, whilst the new One Stop Franchise on Community Drive in Smallthorne is owned by Muhammed Riaz.

The Stoke quintet is completed by the oldest established store within the franchise estate to date, which is owned by Jim Benbow and located on the outskirts of Stoke in Ipstones. This rural store serves a wide ranging farming community on the edge of the Staffordshire moorlands up towards Leek.

John Miller, head of franchise operations at One Stop, said: “It’s great from a customer perspective to see the One Stop brand growing amongst independent retailers. It’s also handy to show potential franchisees a number of different types of store within a ten to 15 mile radius.

“As our franchise estate continues to grow, these clusters will become more and more of a regular occurrence.”
