BDO advises live event company’s Dubai acquisition
ADVISORS from the Birmingham-based Transaction Services team at BDO have carried out financial and tax due diligence for a cross border acquisition involving a leading events management business.
Headquartered in New York, Production Resource Group (PRG) is a leading global supplier of entertainment and event technology, serving a range of markets including concert touring, corporate events, trade shows, special events, theatre, television and film.
It has acquired Dubai-based Gearhouse, the largest provider of turnkey event production services across the Gulf Region.
PRG-Gearhouse, as the new company will be known, is the Middle East’s longest established supplier of professional event technology services to the live event industry supplying leading production companies, corporates, sporting event and the concert touring industry across the region.
PRG works closely with designers, producers, programmers, engineers and production managers to address a project’s individual needs.
It provides a range of services in addition to the sales and rental of entertainment technology products. It provides its clients, which include the likes of the O2 Arena, with space to install a lighting system for pre-programming, to hold production meetings, to pre-visualise sets in a 3D environment, or to edit video content.
