Lucky seven for Browne Jacobson

BROWNE Jacobson has strengthened its Midlands operation with seven new partner promotions. The appointments take its partnership total to 104.

In Birmingham, the new partners are: Richard Freeth (Education), Emma Hopkinson (Banking), Mike Jackson (Corporate), Lisa McGinn (Property) and Tim Rayner (Property Litigation).

They are supported in Nottingham by: Michael Sadler (Construction and Engineering) and Lucy Worwood (Tax).

New promotions at DBS Law

DBS Law has promoted two Private Client solicitors in its Midlands offices to Associate Directors.

Gursharan Bunger and Dawn White, based in Birmingham and Nottingham respectively, have been promoted in recognition of their effort and commitment to developing the business in the region.

Ms White joined DBS Law in August 2014, while her colleague has over 11 years of experience in dealing with Private Client work. Both have expertise in wills & probate, tax planning, trusts and legal powers of attorney.

Wall James Chappell appoints new trainee

Senior Partner, Jonathan Browne with Trainee Solicitor, Rebecca ClarkSTOURBRIDGE-based Wall James Chappell has expanded its team with the appointment of Rebecca Clark as a Trainee Solicitor.

Ms Clark joined the firm as a Probate Clerk in the Private Client Department in October 2013 after completing her Law degree at Keele University.

Senior Partner, Jonathan Browne, said: “As the firm continues to grow it is essential that we ensure our trainee intake provides us with talented and ambitious individuals. Rebecca has demonstrated during the time that she has been with us that she has a great deal of potential and we are looking forward to developing her to achieve qualification over the next two years.”
