Birmingham tech firm concludes distribution deal with leading retailer

BIRMINGHAM home technology business LightwaveRF has concluded another distribution agreement for its products.
The company, based at Innovation Birmingham Campus, has developed the LightwaveRF Smart Home Platform and products for the Internet of Things which enables households and businesses to remotely operate and control applications including lighting, power, heating and security using smartphones, tablets, PC and MAC applications.
The latest business to sign up to distribute the system is Littlewoods.com.
The retailer joins a growing band of online retailers firms including Amazon, Maplin, The Smart Shop and others to begin retailing LightwaveRF products.
The deal sees Littlewoods offer the newly introduced LightwaveRF retail starter kits on its website. The kits introduce homeowners to the lighting, power and heating ranges, available in a starter kit. In addition customers will be able to buy additional dimmers, sockets and TRVs to supplement their kit.
Mike Lord, chairman and CEO said: “This is another broadening of the distribution of our products as we continue our market penetration in to mainstream retail and wholesale. It is also a strong indication of the growing awareness of the Smart Home sector as more big brands join the market.”
