Estate agency plans growth with two additional offices

ONE of Shropshire’s longest established estate agents is expanding by opening new branches in Cleobury Mortimer and Kidderminster.

Nock Deighton already has offices in Ludlow, Bridgnorth, Shrewsbury and Telford – and is adding Cleobury Mortimer and Kidderminster to the list after taking over the Farlow Estates offices in each town.

Directors said they were delighted to have moved into the two towns and are now focused on plans to grow the sales and lettings services in each area.

Manager at the Cleobury Mortimer, Katie Key, said the firm was very positive about the future.

“Nock Deighton has a fantastic reputation so our existing clients who we manage properties for have been more than happy with the change,” she said.

“The company has almost 200 years of experience of letting, buying and selling houses in Shropshire so we are looking forward to embracing that here in Cleobury Mortimer.”

She said the local property market was strong because the town was doing well, while good schools were also a strong lure for families.

The office is also relaunching its lettings board, which will display properties available for rent.

Her colleague Erica Hinwood will be the manager of the Kidderminster office. She said the branch was looking to expand by offering sales as well as lettings.

She said: “Farlow Estates was purely a lettings agency in Kidderminster, but Nock Deighton is well established in lettings and sales so we are keen to embrace that.

“It’s exciting to be launching our sales services in Kidderminster because the town has a really buoyant property market and we are confident we will be a valuable addition to the estate agent community.”

She said Kidderminster was a good place for investors to buy property to let because it was a reasonably-priced market and offered good returns.

“It’s in the commuter belt for Birmingham and there are lots of employment opportunities in very easy reach,” she said.

“From a landlord’s point of view Kidderminster has to be one of the best towns in the Midlands because you can buy a property at a reasonable price and get a really good yield on your investment.

“We are expecting a really busy year and are looking forward to it immensely.”
