Ad agency turns to Overbury for office transformation

AN advertising agency that has just won the global creative account for Land Rover has appointed Overbury to fit-out its new Birmingham office.
Spark44 is relocating to 19,000 sq ft at Norfolk House in Smallbrook Queensway from its former Midlands operation at Trinity Park next to Birmingham Airport.
The firm has 17 other offices worldwide, including London, New York, Mumbai and Shanghai.
The company has acquired the new space to accommodate a growing creative team as well as a need for a larger production facility.
Michele Clifton, Fort Dunlop-based Overbury’s account manager in the central region, said: “Spark44 is a company building a global reputation for its creativity so to successfully win a hotly contested tender process to deliver its fit-out is a huge vote of confidence in our ideas and approach.
“In keeping with their brand, Spark44’s new space is incredibly innovative and will include elements that will set a new benchmark for office space in the centre of Birmingham.”
The eight-week project will be split over two phases with the company’s 200 staff moving in on completion of phase one, which will include the development of a new production department.
The second phase will see the completion of the main meeting room and break out areas which will include a central ‘town hall’ space for meetings, parties and launch nights with a range of eclectic furniture and communal benches.
Spark44 – which is 50% owned by Jaguar Land Rover – has recently been appointed on Land Rover’s global creative and digital advertising account having previously worked on launches for Jaguar’s F-TYPE and XE models.
Simon Moore, managing editor of Spark44, said: “This is an extremely exciting period for Spark44 and our increasing involvement with Jaguar Land Rover means our Birmingham office is a critical part of our global network.”
