Handelsbanken strengthens operation in Leamington

HANDELSBANKEN in Leamington Spa has appointed a new Corporate Manager in response to increasing demand for its local relationship banking services.

Martin Boag brings more than 20 years of banking experience to his new role, which will see him involved in developing existing customer relationships as well as handling new customers.

The former Old Leamingtonians rugby player, who continues to enjoy the sport through coaching at Harbury RFC, said: “I am delighted to be back in Leamington Spa and look forward to renewing old business contacts and welcoming new ones.  

Paul Brooksbank, branch manager, added:  “I am very pleased to welcome Martin and his substantial experience to our team. His appointment means that we can continue to meet the growing needs of both existing and new customers in Leamington Spa.”

Brace of appointments for JW Hinks

BIRMINGHAM-based chartered accountants JW Hinks has added two new members to the firm’s expanding practice.

Manbir Manku has joined the firm as an Accounts Senior and has bolstered the team’s expertise in healthcare accounting.

Prior to becoming joining he had acted as a financial controller at another local firm and is qualified as a Chartered Accountant with an FCCA.

The second addition Amandeep Toor, who is taking on his first professional role as an ATT Apprentice in the tax department.

New Midlands RSM for Ashley

Owen Bradbrook, Midlands regional sales director,  Ashley Business FinanceASHLEY Business Finance, which provides loans and invoice finance for small firms, has appointed Owen Bradbrook as regional sales director in the Midlands.

Bradbrook (left) has over 16 years’ experience in invoice finance, having worked with both banks and independent providers, and most recently was regional director with IGF Invoice Finance.

He said: “Finance is the lifeblood of business and as bank lending continues to fall, alternative finance is helping to bridge the gap. I am looking forward to working with finance brokers and small firms to help them find the funding they need.”

Ashley’s chairman Jonathan Cranston added: “With SMEs facing continued problems in accessing finance, we are seeing increased demand from the Midlands. Owen’s appointment gives us a dedicated representative in the region to build relationships and respond swiftly to requests for funding.”
