Black Country Chamber receives record response to annual exhibition

THE Black Country Chamber of Commerce has received its best ever response to its Annual Exhibition.
The business organisation has sold all 54 stands for next month’s event in record time; a statistic it claims indicates the growing confidence in the area.
The exhibition, which is staged at the Wolverhampton Racecourse Ring Side Suite on September 17, will showcase the work of chamber members to their contemporaries as well as firms from other parts of the West Midlands.
Each year the event attracts around 500 delegates who network and attempt to secure new business.
The chamber said the list of companies attending was regularly updated on its website so delegates could pre-plan which firms they wanted to meet.
Sponsoring the event for the first time is Wolverhampton-based Burke Bros Moving Group. Managing director Gary Burke said he was keen to get involved and raise his own firm’s profile.
“We decided to sponsor the Black Country Chamber of Commerce Annual Exhibition as we can offer something of interest to every organisation or individual attending at some point in time. We believe in keeping business local wherever possible and we wanted to build on the many connections we already have with chamber members and help them promote themselves around the region,” he said.
One of the regular exhibitors, Compact Fork Trucks will be using the event to showcase new product.
Sales Executive Greg Silvers said the company had benefited from exhibiting at previous events and was hopeful of doing so again.
In addition to pop-up networking, there will be a workshop on tendering for public sector work hosted by Andrea Childs, managing director of Klick Business Solutions.
