Manufacturer Andel charts growth to celebrate 40th anniversary

A BIRMINGHAM manufacturer is looking to crown its 40th anniversary with a major push for growth.

Andel Plastics is well placed to meet its target with orders holding up well, supported by a major pipeline of opportunities.

The Tyseley-based company has also experienced its busiest month for more than a decade this year.

Nevertheless, the company said it would not over-expand in its chase for new business.

Managing director Graham Robinson said: “We are busier than ever and (while) the project pipeline looks really good for the next 12 months, we are being very careful not to over expand.

“(However) more expansion is needed to cope with the prospects we have currently.”

The firm has also benefitted from taking part in trade exhibitions during the last few years and the inquiries generated from these events have helped to grow the business.

It has also pointed to the longevity of its products as one reason why trade is currently so strong.

One of the tools supplied to a customer has been run every day since the day it was made and has moulded more than 1 billion components in that time.  Yet since the day it was delivered, apart from being oiled regularly, nothing has ever gone wrong with it.
