New name and facelift for Solihull’s Metro Bar & Grill

SOLIHULL’S Metro Bar & Grill has been renamed Met Bar & Kitchen and has been re-launched following a facelift.
Chris Kelly and Alastair Tyson bought the bar/restaurant in 2004, having owned and operated Metro Birmingham since 1997, and the Solihull businessmen have made changes to the interior design as well as undertaking behind the scenes work in the kitchen at the Warwick Road venue ahead of its re-opening.
Kelly said: “Following the recent sale of our original Metro Bar & Grill in Birmingham, we wanted to change the feel of our Solihull venue both in terms of décor and menu.
“People often refer to us as ‘The Met Bar’ so the new name came easily.
“Met Bar & Kitchen offers a more relaxed dining experience whilst keeping to our contemporary style. We have introduced a less formal menu, one which sees our dishes reflecting the seasons, particularly in the daily changing specials menu.
“We will also be offering a weekend brunch menu and will be hosting live music in the near future.”
Kelly and Tyson are also proprietors of The White Horse at Balsall Common and are involved in The Sun on the Hill in Birmingham.
