H1 revenues rise sharply for Browne Jacobson

LAW firm Browne Jacobson has seen a 7.5% in revenues across the first six months of its trading year, latest figures have shown.

Revenues totalled £30.8m (H1 2014: £28.6m) and the firm said the performance followed on from its full year results last year which showed a revenue rise of17.2% to £58.9m with profits reaching £16.2m, a 26% year-on-year increase.

Iain Blatherwick, managing partner, said: “We have had a promising half year and these figures are in line with our expectations.

“Growth is being generated across the business with our corporate, public, health and education sector teams having had a particularly good six months.

“The pipeline of high quality work across the board remains strong and gives us a robust platform for the next six months which has traditionally been a stronger period for us.”

The results follow a busy 12 months for the Top 50 UK firm which has seen it open a new London office at 6 Bevis Marks and make a significant investment in Birmingham.

Sarah Walker Smith, Chief Operating Officer at Browne Jacobson, added: “We are continuing to reap the benefits of our ‘Drive for Quality’ strategy and the investment we have made in our people, technology and office network in recent years.

“All our offices are performing well, particularly in London which is driving growth domestically and internationally in key areas such as the financial services, dispute resolution and international asset recovery arena.

“Looking ahead we have a number of major investments coming on stream in 2016 including a new PMS system to meet the needs of a growing and diverse business.”
