New group sales manager at The Ticket Factory

TICKET agency The Ticket Factory has strengthened its client services team by welcoming a new group sales manager to its Birmingham-based office.

Daniel Handley, who has worked within the ticketing industry for 11 years, takes on the new role after being promoted from his position as client services account manager.

Although he has only been with the business for 18 months he has already had a positive impact on client relationships and is now looking to drive his new team forward from a group sales perspective.

His new role will see him working closer with clients, helping them with all aspects of making group bookings as well as working to ensure that the best offers for group bookers are received from the promoters, in addition to discounts and travel solutions.

He said: “Being in the industry for 11 years, I feel I can bring a wealth of knowledge and experience to the new role. I love working with our clients and feel a sense of achievement when I can see them benefit from the work that I do.”

Also joining the client services team to take the vacant account manager position is Rachel Floyd, who arrives from another ticketing agency.

She has seven years of ticketing industry experience, gained working mostly on large scale exhibitions and events.

New man in place at Robin Hood Golf Club

SOLIHULL’S Robin Hood Golf Club (RHGC) has a new pro in the shape of Jamie Hillier.

He replaces Alan Harvey who has been the club’s PGA professional since 1993.
Over the last 22 years Harvey has seen some significant changes to the course which has helped Robin Hood host some very high profile tournaments, including the televised BT Sport TP Tour which the club is hosting  again this year for the third year running.

Hillier is moving across from Hollywood Golf Club to Robin Hood, which will have a newly refurbished shop opening in April.

He is looking forward to getting started and, in particular, working with and developing the junior section of the club.

Graeme Thurman, marketing director at Robin Hood Golf Club, said: “The club has been working hard over the last few years on improving the course and RHGC is now arguably one of the best courses in the Midlands and was recently voted in the top ten favourite courses across eight counties.

“To have such an enthusiastic professional at a time when the club continues to attract new members is testament to our course.

“We are redeveloping the club shop so Jamie will be offering the very latest equipment and clothing for all our members, and Jamie’s appointment is only going to help the future of RHGC.”
