Birmingham City gives The Vox a taste of the Blues

BIRMINGHAM’S newest conference and events centre has been selected by Birmingham City Football Club as the venue for its end of season awards.

The St Andrew’s club will stage its BCFC Awards 2016 at the Vox on May 9. The centre, run by the NEC Group, is based in the new £150m Resorts Word Birmingham complex.

The event will honour outstanding performances from the BCFC team throughout what has been a surprising season for The Blues given their form in recent seasons.

The Vox, which has enjoyed a busy first six months since opening last September, said the awards were likely to be attended by more than 700 people.

James Elston, Sales Director for the Vox, said: “We are delighted to be hosting the Birmingham City annual awards. We know the guests will have a wonderful evening and our catering team have been working on a delicious menu. We hope the club and their guests enjoy the evening with us.”

Ian Dutton, Head of Commercial for BCFC, said: “We wanted to do something different this year and change our event venue. Looking at all the available options, the Vox stood out. With the top class facilities, the accessible location and everything Resorts World has to offer – it was the perfect fit for us.”

Guests will be served a luxury four course meal, live entertainment, a souvenir event programme and access to an exclusive after party held in Resorts World Birmingham.
