How to enter the 2016 West Midlands Business Masters

THERE are 11 categories to enter for the 2016 West Midlands Business Masters:

Ambassador – A special award made by the judges to recognise outstanding leadership, vision and commitment to business over a sustained period. We are looking for someone who has gone ‘beyond the call of duty’ to support the region

Employer of the Year – Recognising initiatives that make a company a great one to work for.  This might include its apprentice scheme or a wider commitment to training, flexible working arrangements or staff benefit schemes

Exporter – Recognising overseas trade success from a regional business. This is open to small and large firms with an excellent exporting tale to tell

Fast Growth Business – Rewarding outstanding growth demonstrated by a West Midlands business over the last 12 months

Innovator – Most creative or original business thinking. Innovation might be around products, services or route to market, for example.

Listed Business – Rewarding outstanding performance demonstrated by a West Midlands business listed on one of the recognised stock exchanges.

Manufacturer – Celebrating the region’s top large manufacturer. Large companies and SMEs are both under consideration here.  We are looking for stellar performance from one of our producers.

Lifestyle – A new award for 2016. This award celebrates excellent achievement from one of the region’s retail or leisure businesses.  Shops, shopping schemes, hotels, restaurants, pub chains and travel and event businesses are all invited to enter.

Newcomer – Best new business initiative or start-up in the region under three years old

Pride/CSR – This award rewards commitment to a philanthropic initiative or initiatives by a West Midlands business or individual, either through CSP policies or wider charitable work.

Professional Services Firm of the Year – A new award for 2016. Here we are seeking outstanding performance from a professional services firm based in the West Midlands.  This could be to do with growth – organically or through acquisition – but may equally be on an impressive business development strategy.
