Health & Safety consultancy creates 30 jobs in Midlands expansion

PERSONNEL and Health and Safety consultancy, Croner Group, is to create new jobs as part of a Midlands expansion.

The company has announced it will be creating 30 posts, which will be based at its head office in Hinckley.

The firm said it was also eyeing further expansion across the UK after posting solid sales and profits figures in the first two months of 2016. This could see a further 20 new jobs becoming available.

Established in 1971, Croner currently employs around 270 people at its headquarters. It said the improvement in profit and sales was due to a stronger focus on its core consulting and HR support division.
Mike Allen, managing director, Croner said: “With new investment in our sales and marketing areas we have exceeded all expectations.”

Mr Allen also hailed the success of Croner’s flagship SME product, Croner Simplify, an integrated pro-active service combining cloud-based software with online information, telephone advice lines and consultancy support, allowing clients to efficiently manage their people and safety.

“With Croner Simplify being so well received, we are rolling out an enterprise version, Simply Personnel, to all our large and multinational clients,” he added.

“I am confident we will have a very successful year and I anticipate that we are likely to recruit 50 new jobs in the year ahead, based across the UK and in our Head Office in Hinckley particularly in our telesales and marketing operations.”
