All hail the Burger Priest as diner creates 30 jobs

A THEME restaurant is creating 30 jobs with the opening of its first outlet in Wolverhampton.
The Burger Priest, situated in the vacant Pizza Hut premises in Victoria Street, will open for business on May 12 following a £250,000 investment.
The scheme is the brainchild of Cannock-based sports bar entrepreneur Scott Murray, the man behind the Bar Sport franchise.
Designed to be reminiscent of a church, diners will sit on church pews and select food from hymn board menus. The toilet booths are confession boxes.
The restaurant, which will also offer a take-out service, will serve a wide range of premium burgers, all made with 100% Aberdeen Angus beef.
The handmade burgers will be made fresh on site, not frozen, will have no preservatives, will be hormone and steroid free, gluten free and fully traceable. The burgers will be served on a gluten free brioche bun with fresh salad & hand cut chips.
The restaurant will also serve milkshakes made with organic ice-cream provided direct from Marshfield Farm in the Cotswolds.
The Burger Priest will also have a number of craft beers available and organic wines.
Mr Murray, who is founder and managing director of the operation, said: “We want our burger experience to be the best and are confident it will be a great success.
“It is certainly unique and will get everyone talking.”
The company already has one eye on growth and has plans for further restaurants in Edinburgh and London later this year.
“We will then look to roll it out in other areas of the country as a franchise. It certainly is a concept we have got great confidence in and we are really looking forward to the opening next month,” added Mr Murray.
