Flybe set to create hundeds of jobs to support European expansion

AIRLINE Flybe is in Birmingham today as part of a major recruitment drive to find hundreds of new pilots and flight crew members.

The airline has said it is searching for 370 flight deck crew and is staging an event in the city today to attract the people it needs. The roles include at least 120 Commanders and First Officers as well as around 150 newly-qualified pilots.

Colin Rydon, director of flight operations for Flybe, said: “We are travelling the length and breadth of our network so that those looking to join us during this very exciting period of growth can learn more about life at Flybe and the career opportunities we offer.

“We currently connect Britain, but our ambition is to connect Europe. We look forward to meeting some experienced pilots who have what it takes to join a fast-paced, fast growing airline to support us in that growth.”

It has teamed up with specialist recruiter CTC Aviation to spearhead its UK-wide campaign, which will be highlighted during a series of Direct Entry Pilot Recruitment Roadshows.
